Chris and Felicity’s Summer Wedding in East Sussex
I love country summer weddings and Chris and Felicity were married on a beautiful sunny day in the pretty village church in Ringmer, East Sussex. They then travelled the short distance to their reception in a marquee at the home of Chris’ parents. What a stunning backdrop to their special day. Chris’ parents had been working hard all year in the garden to have it looking so spectacular for their summer wedding.
I met up with Chris and Felicity the previous autumn for their pre wedding shoot. In this case I knew the groom first and so it was lovely to get to know Felicity and hear about their wedding plans. Chris and his family got ready at home, along with his ushers. I am very grateful to Darren Bedding for coming to be my second photographer despite the fact that it would mean he had a long drive home afterwards and he went straight to join the boys and capture them getting ready before travelling with them to the church.
Meanwhile I headed to a beautiful house just outside of Lewes where Felicity’s family and all the bridesmaids were getting ready.
Ringmer has a lovely friendly village church and this reflected the feel of the wedding with contributions from many friends and family, including the very smart signpost made by Chris’ youngest brother. They had a stunning marquee from the Arabian Tent Company, and the catering by Jacaranda was superb. Flowers were by Wild Rubus and were stunning as you can see. There were lots of tears, smiles – plenty of laughter and it was easy to see how happy everyone was for the two of them. I always love discovering a little more about the families in the speeches and this was no exception as the guests were entertained to some great stories. Then the cake was cut, the band struck up and everyone crowded onto the dance floor for a party that went on well into the night….
Congratulations to Chris and Felicity and I am looking forward to catching up when we progress to making up the album.
